ANITA RINALDI-HARNDEN   |   Director

Anita brings her enthusiasm and appreciation for historic architecture and design to the Board of Directors. She earned her BFA degree in Fashion Design from The Otis Art Institute with a concentration in Costume Design. As an avid history buff and researcher, Anita enjoys exploring and uncovering the past. Whether researching costuming for a feature film project, or unraveling the history of her beloved El Miradero neighborhood, Anita often finds herself completely immersed. She and her husband, Russell, enthusiastically hosted the Taste of Spain soiree at their 1927 Spanish Colonial Revival home in 2017. The event featured an outdoor screening of Russ’s prized 16mm copy of Mildred Pierce, arguably the most famous motion picture set in and featuring Glendale. Anita enjoys serving as a docent on TGHS home and historic building tours and is a member of the Preservation Advocacy Committee, which finds her proudly speaking up for Glendale’s architectural heritage at meetings before the Glendale City Council.
