Doctors House Museum presents

Architecture as Art

An exhibition of iconic Glendale architectural landmarks

Open call to artists

The Doctors House Museum and The Glendale Historical Society are soliciting donations for an artists’ exhibit of iconic Glendale architectural landmarks to be displayed at the Museum from June 4 - November 26, 2023. In addition to showcasing local artists and Glendale’s built environment, the exhibit will be supported by a variety of programs designed to engage the community. At the close of the exhibit, TGHS will sell the donated artwork, with proceeds to support the Museum and its collections.

Artists are invited to submit visual interpretations of historic and architecturally significant Glendale buildings, be they homes, commercial/institutional or other built landmarks, still standing or demolished. All work must be original. Display and selling condition requested. All pieces submitted will be donated to TGHS for fundraising purposes.

Selection Process

TGHS reserves the right to select works to be displayed and sold. Pricing of each work will be determined by TGHS. Each submitting artist will need to sign a short application form/agreement, including rights to use images of art works for publicity purposes.

Logistics

Art work to be delivered to the Doctors House Museum in Brand Park between 2 pm - 4 pm on Sunday, May 7 or Sunday, May 21 or by appointment.
