BETH MARLIS   |   Director

Vice President and longtime senior music faculty member at Hollywood’s Musicians Institute, Beth’s work of community engagement on behalf of the college led her to become involved in historic preservation advocacy. An emeritus Chairman of the Board of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce (2014-2016), she now continues her efforts to preserve the vintage architecture of Hollywood by serving on the Hollywood Historic Trust, Hollywood Heritage and HWD Tourist District Overlay Zone boards. Beth is also the Executive Director of the Musicians Foundation and serves on several advisory boards, including Japan House (a project of the Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs) and the Grammy Music Education Coalition. Inspired to move to Glendale in 2015 because of its many historic neighborhoods, homes and exceptional landmarks, Beth is passionate about historic preservation and education. She proudly serves on the Preservation Advocacy Committee.
