Casa Verdugo Walking Tour

(Pending Historic District)

Sold Out!

Casa Verdugo, at the northern terminus of Brand Boulevard, is one of Glendale's oldest, most charming, and architecturally eclectic neighborhoods. Named for the famous Spanish restaurant that operated at several locations in the neighborhood from 1905 to 1930, Casa Verdugo is a microcosm of the development of Glendale during the first decades of the twentieth century and is currently pending Historic District designation. Participants in the walking tour will learn about the history of the neighborhood and see a fine concentration of Craftsman and period revival houses.

This walk is the latest in our series of occasional walking tours around Glendale. Every few months throughout this year, the Neighborhood Walk Series will take TGHS members and the general public on a leisurely stroll on a Saturday or a Sunday to discover new areas of the city and find some of the architectural gems hiding in the Jewel City's neighborhoods.
