ADAMS HILL WALKING TOUR

Featured Adams Hill, an eclectic neighborhood in south Glendale. Tour goers were shown a sampling of home styles ranging from the Romance Revival period of the 1920s to Mid-Century Modern. 


ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING

Provided members with an afternoon tea, Doctors House Museum tours and plein air paintings by the Glendale Art Association. Also included a year-in review by President Greg Grammer.

TASTE OF SPAIN

Held at a beautifully restored 1928 Spanish Colonial Revival Home, TGHS' fifth annual membership drive recruited 23 new members. The afternoon poolside event featured tapas, sangria and wine.

Presented a one-night exhibit on death and mourning customs during the Victorian era. Character performances, authentic mourning attire and postmortem photographs added to the Doctors House experience.

ROMANTIC REVIVALS HOME TOUR

Showcased six outstanding period revival homes from the 1920s to 1940. Representative architectural styles included Mediterranean Revival, Spanish Colonial Revival, American Colonial Revival, French Revival and Storybook.

GALA AND BENEFIT

Raised $12,000 for TGHS' preservation and advocacy programs. The inaugural event was held at the historic Brockman Clock Tower Estate, a local landmark and centerpiece of the newly designated Brockmont Park Historic District.
